“I finally talked myself into getting back to the gym, but decided the only way this could work, would be by way of a personal trainer, after all, like most, when it comes to self-motivation, there is only a certain point of pain, and hard graft, a person will allow himself. I was introduced to Danny, and after a brief conversation regarding my goal, one of the first things he said was “I do things differently, and it isn’t going to be easy. If lifting heavy weights and pottering around the gym is your thing, then I’m not the PT for you”.  My first thoughts were “Really”…and this is coming from a guy who’s physique had big weights written all over it, and then I’m looking around the gym, and this is what pretty much everyone there is doing…Well, now I was curious. He then finished the brief with “well let’s face it, if it was easy, then I wouldn’t be doing my job correctly and you would be wasting your time, effort and above all, money!” Well…BINGO, I wouldn’t argue with that. Now I couldn’t wait to get going. I knew from experience that the first few days would bring on the dreaded DOMS, and the only way through it, was to keep working as hard as possible while trying to stay positive.  Danny is a master of change. Every single session he delivers, is loaded with high energy high impact exercises, almost all are full body workouts, and there is nothing routine in his sessions, in fact, during my first two weeks I don’t think we did the same set of exercises twice! He also explains the technique to each exercise in precise detail and (for me especially) in layman’s terms. Looking back, to that first week, I would never have believed that Danny’s way of training, would change me and my attitude to training, in so many ways. I’m now into my second month and already I can see amazing results in my physique. Mentally, I feel more alert and stronger too.  To finish, and to anyone sweating while reading this, after the workout, those 45 minutes of barely able to talk, and wondering if your ribcage was ever designed to stretch from the capacity of air you never believed your lungs could hold, Danny never finishes the session with a quick “see ya“! He’s a great conversationalist and will always spend time to walk around the gym with you, as you cool down, after all that’s what the ‘personal’ really stands for in PT. Cheers Danny

“So…. When I first started training with Dan, I thought he would be like any other PT. I’ve been working out my whole life and I know I’m fit. Let me rephrase, I “thought” I was fit. This guy sits on another level! My first session was a freebie which Dan said he’d join in on. I didn’t last 5 minutes!  I ended up sat on the floor wondering what had just happened to my body whilst Dan carried on for another 30 minutes solid. After that we started another circuit together, me fully rested, Dan having sipped his water. I think I lasted 2 minutes on this one whilst Thor went about his usual witchcraft and kept going until the end. This opened my eyes to realising where I was as opposed to where I thought I was. I have never worked as hard in my whole life as I have during my sessions with Dan. I’ve also never been as fit, healthy, energetic and positive about myself as I now am. I’m sure he’ll tell you himself but in case he doesn’t, I will. The work will be HARD but the results will be better than you’ve ever had. If you don’t believe me, watch him workout and ask yourself who’s the PT pushing him? - himself!
